Advances in Developing HR Outstanding Issue Award

The Advances in Developing Human Resources Outstanding Issue Award is awarded for the outstanding issue among the ending year's volume. This award is given every year.

Award Decisions to the Office: All awards winners are due back to by Monday – January 13, 2021 at 5:00pm Eastern time.

Award Criteria

The overall Issue:

  • has the potential to advance the profession of HRD into new frontiers of research and practice;
  • contributes to the field of HRD scholarship by extensively revising or building upon past or current research of a particular workplace problem or examines the problem in a new way;
  • contributes new theoretical insights that have the potential to advance the profession of HRD;
  • reflects high quality and clarity of reporting, and
  • is relevant to both scholars and practitioners.

The contributing articles:

  • strongly support and appropriately address the overarching workplace problem/theme; and
  • offer practical solutions.

Nomination Process

Committee members will review and rate all issues within the Volume to select the outstanding issue of the year.

  • Committee consists of members of the Journal’s editorial board
