Sanghamita Chaudhuri is the Director for Curriculum and Instruction and a Learning Architect at the State of Minnesota. In her current capacity, she is responsible for the overall learning and development needs for State employees where she designs and implements learning solution that are directly aligned with business strategies.  Prior to this role, she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Workforce Development and Education at The Ohio State University. During her tenure at the Ohio State, she has taught and developed courses related to the Design and Development of Training Program, Evaluations in HRD, Job Task Analysis, Organization Development, Adult Education, Instructional Systems Design, and Instructional Design for Teaching Health to name a few,  at both the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. She has also served as Adjunct faculty at University of Minnesota, Metro State University, and at Drexel University. She continues to teach for Drexel at her present position.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve helped develop a small training and consulting company -- a sort of Ma and Pa shop for life coaches.  The company began as a book that my husband authored, and I edited.  The enterprise launched as a curriculum, training manual, licensed coaching system, and continuing education that hundreds of life coaches from around the world have used to work with their own clients. 

In the short time since I began graduate studies in the Fall of 2013, I have learned principles of scholarship that will help me be a better practitioner.  I’ve also made contributions to my colleagues in educational human resource development.  In December of 2013, I presented at the Zero to Three National Training Institute on how child care workers can support multilingual families of children who are learning English.  At the 2014 AHRD conference, my classmates and I co-presented a well-attended poster session on innovative businesses, and I facilitated a panel session on research.  Upcoming: I will attend my first ASTD conference in May of 2014.  My interests and work have focused on the early child care work force, and curricula design for training coaches.

With my international living and work experience, my fluency in Spanish, and coach training experience, I believe I would be a strong contributor to the scholar-practitioner SIG steering committee as the conference activities chair, co-chair or helper.  While all the jobs are important, it’s clear to me that a conference activities position would be the most meaningful to me, and the best use of my strengths.

Sarah E. Minnis has over 18 years of career and organization development experience with 8 years working specifically with veterans and the organizations educating and employing them. Sarah’s passion is helping veterans find financial empowerment and enjoyment in work. Through her experiences with a variety of groups and organizations in higher education and industry, and her own research, Sarah has shown that veterans are an outstanding workforce asset but need help redefining their employment paths. She has also found that educators and employers sometimes need to better understand veterans so that they can be most successful in sustainable employment. She has developed a program of support and education to help campus and business communities understand the value of and embrace the veterans they serve. Sarah has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central Washington University, a master’s degree in education and student affairs from Western Kentucky University, and a PhD in human resource development from Texas A&M University with research interests in veterans’ career development and employment needs.

Neal Couture is a doctoral student in the George Washington University Human and Organizational Learning program. His research interests lie in resilience, culture and career development theory. Neal currently holds the position of Director of Government Procurement Law and Business Programs at the GW Law School, where he directs cross-disciplinary business and law graduate programs. Previously, Neal was CEO of a large (21,000 member) professional association that conducted (among other things) large (>1600 attendees) educational and academic conferences, published a peer-reviewed research journal, and managed numerous communities of practice (CoP). 

Tara D Gray is a Learning & Organization Development scholar-practitioner with over fifteen (15) years of comprehensive experience in the field. She is currently leading a large initiative in a major, global oil & gas company to create a learning and development program to improve competency development, consistency, quality, and performance on capital projects. Prior to this, Tara worked in various learning and organization development roles, mostly in the financial industry, with comprehensive experience in developing, implementing, and managing learning, knowledge management, change management, and organization development interventions, resulting in improved performance. She received her Master of Science in the Learning and Organization Development field from Texas A&M University. In her personal time, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband of twenty plus years, watching movies, traveling, mountain biking, and hiking.
