Learning & Education in the Workplace
Description of Track: Manuscripts submitted to this track could focus on a variety of topics. The track welcomes theoretical and empirical papers that provide insights into the academic and practitioner understanding of learning & education in the workplace.
Topic areas include, but are not limited to: T&D, transfer of training, learning culture, instructional design, learning interventions, adult learning, and instructional strategies.
Track Chair Editor: Dr. Judith Kolb
Judith A. Kolb is an Associate Professor of Education, Workforce Education and Development Program, Penn State University Park Campus. She teaches in the Human Resource Development/Organization Development Emphasis. Her research focuses on the functioning of small groups and teams and, in particular, the role of facilitators and leaders; collaborative leadership; and factors that affect learning culture and transfer. She also is interested in issues related to ethics teaching and training. Her work has appeared in AHRD journals as well as in Performance Improvement Quarterly, Journal of European Industrial Training, International Journal of Training and Development, International Journal of Vocational Education and Training, Small Group Research, Journal of Business Communication, Management Communication Quarterly, and Teaching Ethics among others.
