Organization/Department Description: The M.S. in Human Resource Development is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business and education. Participants gain access to Drexel's distinctive blend of theory, practice, and problem-based action learning. Students are exposed to the best of today's thought leadership and take away the tools and frameworks needed to drive learning, performance, and change in their own organizations. Four concentrations are offered, guided by the increasing demand in these areas for strategic HRD leadership: Strategic Human Resources, ISD & E-Learning, Project Management, Evaluation & ROI. The program coursework, which can be completed online within two years, is a rigorous combination of cutting-edge theory and current workplace practice. The uniqueness of this program is its balance across strategic human resources, workplace learning and performance, and organization development and change. Students enroll in the MSHRD as a cohort at the Drexel University, taking courses together (10 core and three concentration courses) allowing for interaction and networking among peers and local leaders. In addition to the online MS in HRD, the program is offered at Drexel's Center for Graduate Studies in Sacramento, California, in both on-site and executive study formats. Drexel also offers an doctoral (Ed.D) degree with a specialization in HRD.
