Submission Process for UFHRD 2016


The abstract should be 750 to 800 words maximum and should include a separate page stating the authors’ affiliation. The abstract should sum up the paper’s importance, theoretical base, research purpose and research question/s, and the implications for practice, conclusions and references.

Submission date for abstracts: Friday 4th December 2015

Guidance on Final Paper Submission:

  • Refereed Papers -  6-8000 words maximum –
  • Working papers - 4000 words maximum

The paper should state the aims and objectives of the study; clear discussion on the research design and methodological approach taken; summary of the findings, limitations of the study and implications for future practice; whether there are practical or social implications and the originality/value of the study

Format of the Paper

  • Title Page – Arial 14 point font
  • Abstract - 250 word (max);
  • Keywords (between 3-6 keywords)
  • Use 1.5 spacing  and Arial 12 point font;
  • Margin size (left, right top and bottom) of 2.5cm;
  • Justify each paragraph fully;
  • Use only three levels of heading and use the numbering convention as follows: 1. Heading; 1.1 Heading; 1.1.1 Heading; Italic is accepted as well as bulleted or numbered lists.
  • Figures and tables should be placed as close to their reference point in the text as possible;
  • All figures and tables must have titles and be referenced from within the text;
  • Avoid colour diagrams, as the proceedings will be printed in black and white.
  • Images must be inserted as picture files (gif, jpg, bmp, pct, png, psd). You may be asked to supply the pictures as separate files;
  • References should follow the Harvard style of referencing.
